The TMP4 moncolonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD133 is a pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein that localizes to cellular protrusions that is also known as prominin-1. It is expressed on neuronal stem, glial, hematopoietic, and glioblastoma stem cells. While the biological functions of this marker are not completely understood, it is frequently utilized as a stem cell market for normal and cancerous tissue.
