Dendritic cells are the messengers between the innate and adaptive immunity. Through pattern recognition and toll like receptors, immature dendritic cells capture foreign antigens and present them to T cells. They are the most potent Antigen Presenting Cells (APCs). They are a very varied type of immune cell containing several specialized populations
