description

AM 580 is a retinoic acid analog that is used as a selective agonist to RARα. It is reported to induce cell differentiation at a 7 fold increase over the activity of retinoic acid in vitro. AM 580 promotes the reprogramming of somatic cells to induced pluripotent stem cells and inhibits tumor cell proliferation.
