description

Clozapine N-oxide is a normally biologically inactive metabolite of clozapine that can be used to specifically activate DREAD receptors, engineered G-protein coupled receptors which are activated by otherwise inert drug-like small molecules. Clozapine is metabolized in the liver by the cytochrome P450 system and is a partial agonist of the serotonin receptor.
