BIRB 796 (Doramapimod)
Catalog Number : 2854848
description
BIRB 796 is a member of the N-pyrazole-N′-naphthly urea class of p38 MAPK inhibitors that binds to the kinase with slow association and dissociation rates without affecting JNK substrate phosphorylation. The p38 MAP kinase is involved in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF and IL-1. BIRB 796 is reported to be useful in the maintenance of cell lines by inducing self-renewal.
