AS 8351 is an iron chelator and histone demethylase inhibitor, targeting KDM5B (JARID1B). It is reported to efficiently induce cardiac reprogramming of human fibroblasts in conjunction with other small molecules. KDM5B is a multi-domain demethylase enzyme that is overexpressed in many cancer types.
