description

The G8.8 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD326, a 40-42kdA type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as the Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (Ep-CAM), epithelial glycoprotein 40 (EGP40), and the 17-1A antigen. CD326 is a calcium-independent cell adhesion mediator and is involved in cell differentiation, signaling, migration, and proliferation. It is used as a diagnostic marker for various cancers and plays an important role in tumor biology.
