description

The 236A/E7 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human Foxp3, also known as Forkhead Box P3, Scurfin, IPEX, and JM2. The 49-55 kDA transcription factor is the primary marker for CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells. Treg cells suppress the cytokine production and proliferation of other T cells and are essential in T cell mediated autoimmunity. The 236A/E7 antibody also cross reacts with cynomolgus macaque, rhesus macaque, and sooty mangabey.
